I backup my PS3 slim (WD Blue 500GB) to 1TB HDD from my PS4 HDD. It took literally 17 hrs just to backup 210 GB of data!! But when i restored back to my PS3 slim (swapping back in my original PS3 500GB HDD), it took only 6hrs total. Strange.

Did the back up utility save the "copy protected" game files also if you had any????

The real and correct path is "[ROOT]:\PS3\UPDATE".

Make sure you back up saved data separately and psp data etc copy and paste them into harddrive
